[At some point in the day a box finds it's way in front of Haru's apartment. How did she know where Haru lived? Eh, she probably looked it up, no surprise there.

The box houses a simplistic array of fruits, chiefly strawberries. Most of them are cut into disgustingly cute little hearts too. There's a note:]

I wasn't sure if rabbits cared for chocolate so I thought this was a better idea. Happy Valentine's Day!

( like any gift legosi might give, the one he leaves for haru on valentine's day is somewhat unassuming. unlike fantastically-adorned boxes of chocolates, it's a small, simple paper bag with flimsy paper filling it and containing something inside.

opening it will reveal a group of shaped chocolates. they aren't anything fancy, and they actually seem kind of... rough? most likely hand-made (and by not-very-experienced hands at that). they aren't perfect, but the shapes seem to be simple, stylized rabbit and wolf heads.

there's a note in the bag as well. it reads: )

I wanted to do something special for you for Valentine's Day, so I went to a candy store and... well, I basically had to beg them to teach me how to make chocolates... They eventually said yes, and they helped me make these. I tried one, just to make sure they were good enough to give to you, and they seemed pretty good! I hope you like them.

This place is very strange, but I'm happy you're here with me. I'll see you soon.

I'm trying to fix them up as best as they can, but there's only so much that can be done when the big and strong try to rip apart the small and helpless, you know?

Glad to hear you haven't been affected either! If you started growing a mane and stomping all over the city's flowers I don't know what I'd do.

And I've kind of been dragging my feet finding a job. I've been getting by being able to hold hands and picking up the odd jobs that crop up here and there for extra dough. How about you? Do you have a job here?

[it takes her a bit to get decrystalized and back on Lunatia, so she doesn’t check her messages until she gets back to her place.

she anticipates a message from Louis, in fact she was actually going to message him. being back home had been, A Lot, so it actually would be good to meet up with someone who can see eye to eye of where she currently is right now.

but when she does fall into her couch to check her device she instead gets...jumbled letters, silent audio message....

“Ass”? The hell?? This isn’t right...]

[ oh, a response, he sees it flicker on the device and curiosity kicks in so this is intentional, even if he has no idea what he's sending: ]

[ After a few moments, it switches to video, after hitting audio and text a couple more times. On video, from a really awkward angle Haru will see a confused looking fawn, who - the moment he realizes it is video, drops his device. What the heck! ]

[she still doesn't know how to take this text response. because on one hand, there's the herbivore instinct to immediately think something is wrong, that this is communicating something that's off and dangerous. on the other, it also makes complete sense that it's just a simple accident.

Haru tends to try to veer on the latter. but when the video flips on--

she stares long and hard at the image of a fawn with a familiar, antler-less face.
