Their offspring is scarcely more than a concept at this stage, slowly growing but very much there. Would the doctors be able to tell the predominant species of the child through ultrasound alone, he wonders? Would that not even be a factor you could see until they're born? It's not like it matters to him- he'd love them even if they had gills somehow- but he is curious. With how large their physical and biological differences are, the gene pool is vast and could be pulling from any number of places.
