It might be obvious that he's moving slowly, not just out of habit, but also because he's tracking her movements and following what she's doing more or less. It's not like he's never used a shower or an onsen besides, but since it's co-ed he want to make sure he doesn't accidentally do something he shouldn't.
The fact this particular place is run by reptiles is a boon for Legosi. It makes everything seem more familiar, considering his close familial ties with them. He remembers quite well how things functioned similarly for his grandfather, and how the temperature in their home had to be constantly regulated to very specific degrees to keep things comfortable. Being fur-coated, Legosi tended to be able to put up with basically anything...it's easier to just cut your fur short or wear thick clothing if needed when you're warm blooded.
